Default Protea Echo 4x4 (used to be)

I am not sure if the new managment changed the name but this is the old Protea Echo 4x4 trial which used to be great fun

    S26 05.349 E27 49.165

Unless it has been improved this area is also accessible from the top of the N14 above Silverstar casino where the paragliders launch from. When we went (paid) through there all the internal fences were down and everything pretty much a free for all.

We don't have anything formal. We just play in the bush. Or the river. (Old vacated military area.)

Messina. Limpopo riverbed. If you know one of the farmers that are right next to the river, you can have a great time in the Limpopo. Usually they have access to the river since they get their water from the river and their pumps are there. Therefore they need access to the river in order to service their pumps etc.

Just don't let the military catch you ...

Is this still open freely to the public?

This was an awesome area to go & play, we also used to have one of the Bike enduro races there.

Last time I was there, in October, it was still open.

The place has two entrances. One where you right past the farm labour houses, the other one maybe a km further on the road to Randfontein.

Give me a shout when you want to go, might just join you. I usually go and play alone; I know it's not wise, therefore I tend to skip some of the challenges.
