    Thanks so much.
This depends more on the specific Jeep than any thing else, as mentioned above, have it checked properly before committing to the purchase. It well worth the money to know you are not buying a lemon!

As far as auto off-road, it has very little drawbacks and a lot of advantages. I would be very hesitant to go for a manual.

I really don't find my 2.8 crd Cherokee lethargic 147Kw and 460Nm torque.
Also great off road and I also tow with it.

Yeah the new one is the same engine with some tweaking done and is a different animal to the 119kW/400Nm one that it initially came out with.

I will be using my jk to tow my Jurgens Xplorer to Mozambique in December and the last 32 km is lots of sand and up and down over dunes. I am a bit worried that the JK will not tow that heavy rig

Maybe I can say HI to everyone from the quick reply. I bought a 2007 Cerorkee 2.8 crd Limited manual 2 weeks ago in Vereening for R120000, 97000 km. Haven't get to test it off road yet, had to leave for 3 month to Iraq. Can't wait to get back and go somewhere with him.
