Thanks for the info. Would you recommend this trip like planned or would you go via Alexandra Bay and port Nolloth?

I don't follow this. Where exactly do you plan to go, what do you want to see and how long will this trip be?

Sorry for being so vague. We are doing a west coast trip but I want to detour via the Richtersveld. I will be coming from Ais Ais where we are camping for a couple of days. I then want to go south via the Richtersveld for about two nights or three days and was enquiring which would be the best route to follow, scenary wise etc. Option 1 is via De Hoop, through the Helskloof gate, on to Eksteenfontein and Vioolsdrift and then down the west coast or Option 2 is also via De Hoop but then up to Alexandra Bay down to Port Nolloth and then via Springbok.

OK, coming from Ais-Ais, where do you plan to cross the border?

Looking at the maps and posted border posts, it looks like I will have to cross at Noordoewer, then up into the park via Helskloof, not sure within the park for two nights and then out via Sendlingdrift?

As far as we know this road is still closed. The easiest way would be to call the Noordoewer Police Station 063-297117 to get the freshest news regarding that road.

Have just heard that the C13 will most likely be closed until end of April.

Morning, one question: The ZA sticker, on the back of your vehicle or/and caravan? Any other stickers needed?

    Thanks

Nope, that's about it. Then your standard triangles, reflectors etc. And make sure you know where your chassis number is on your caravan/trailer.
