Question Recommend a Auto-Electrician in Gauteng?

    HI Everyone,

A friend of a friend has an older model Prado that needs some electrical work done. Toyota want to charge a not-too-small fortune to do the work.

I've looked through the thread library here but can't find any recommendations.

Could you please send me a PM with details for a reliable A.E. you would entrust your Toyota with, in Gauteng?

    Many Thanks

    Bumping Up.

So no one has a recommendation? Are Toyota's that reliable? Or are their electrics so complicated no one will touch them?

It's pretty obvious they aren't otherwise you wouldn't be posting this here. What kind of trouble is your friend having with the electronics?

Not sure Will, it's a friend of a friend and they haven't replied to me message for details. You know anyone?

Ya, that's the problem, I've luckily never had to use an auto electrician before. So maybe Google a bit and then once you've found a name or 2 look out for them on sites such as HelloPeter and maybe other forums. Also your friend could try asking on the Hilux forum. I'm sure though that once you let the guys here know what the problem is they might have some guidance.
    Regards,

    William

I believe that the Bosch guys don't charge an arm and a leg to do work, just an arm. Maybe your friend could try them.

    Thank you Jack and Will.

Good advice. Something to get them started with.

You just don't know we're to look,I'm an ae and im honest, but every job I do I see the customers are very weary, because normally they have been to somebody that doesn't know what they are doing or to the dealers that what them rebond their houses to pay the bill
