Default Suggested route for Botswana tour

    Hi
I am a first timer on the forum. We are planning a trip next year July to Botswana from Pretoria. We will be towing a rental caravan or trailer with our Fortuner. Family of 5

We uses a booking agent and we could get the following:
    4 July Khama rhino sanctuary
5 and 6 July Kumaga campsite
    7 July South camp/Nxai camp
    8 July Sedia hotel
9 July sedia hotel and mokoro trip
10 July - early flight over delta than off to South gate for 2 nights
12 and 13 July North gate
14 July ihaha (no accommodation in between available will have to leave early
15 July Chobe safari lodge with sunset cruise
16 July day visit vic falls overnight Chobe safari lodge
17 July overnight somewhere on our way back.

    Questions:
The bookings I Moremi, chobe cannot be changes the others can
The suggested Kumaga and south camp was not initially my idea is there a better alternative, ? Kubu island , planet baobab
Can we cut on days somewhere will rather drive far in the beginning and then slow down- we wanted to go less days but it seems it does not fit in.

    Hi Neldavanzyl,

We will be at South gate from 11 -12 July, but we will first visit Chobe and then Moremi followed by Nxai. Our overnight stop between Kasane and Nata will be Elephant sands and Drifters near Maun.

We decided as first timers not to drive from Moremi through Savuti towing an off-road caravan (Conqueror Companion) but stay on the tar and drive back through Nata.

My only worry is Nxai camp due to the sandy road and might not take the Companion, but rather the first Conqueror Safari Trailer.

We might see you there then. We could not get place at North gate a month ago and got Xakanaxa instead.

    Nelda.

may be it is beter to change the 2 nights at kumaga and the one at south camp nxia for one night at kubu island or makgadigadi adventures and 2 nights at planet boabab. Don't you thonk this is more a must see for a trip to Botswana. We want to cover most of the highlights in this trip.
