Default NSRI Day tomorrow 05-10-2013 Spot open

AB has a spot open in the first group that takes off tomorrow at 08h00 am. You need to be there at 07h30 for the briefing. This is a highly sought after spot normally as the obstacles are fresh and easier than later in the day. Normally you struggle to get a spot so phone AB and take advantage of this. 0 eight 2 four six 7 33 six five.

I will be flying kites there tomorrow to support the NSRI day so come and say hi.

On the way to Atlantis. What a miserable day weather wise though. I felt sorry for the organisers.

The route must have been easy though!! 8)

The wind was very unpleasant and too strong to fly our normal kites.

I went along for a joyride, 2nd last group. Miserable day out and the digger had to repair obstacles so the cars could get out.

The last two dunes caused a huge bottleneck as most people struggled. Some even battled on the scape route.

Hi Johann, ja veral Klippies het die manne bietjie gevang! Sy escape het party ook laat sukkel. Is dit 'n gat in die agter ruit op die een foto van jou? Wat het gebeur? Hier is my pic by Klippies...

Hi Jbeez yes I saw you walking past but when I looked again you were gone.

Looks like a branch through the back window. Done that on the canopy of the ford once.

Een van die marshals se voertuie. Ek vermoed dis toe hulle die Defender 130 probeer sleep het. Bleikbaar het die shackle gebreek, maar alles is 2de handse nuus.

Sorry I missed you. Being a passenger I was wandering around while the rest was at the briefing. Did bump into AB. They finished as we were starting

Obvious now that one looks at it properly. safety bridles should be compulsory for all recoveries on both sides.

I bought one the other day before our Richtersveld trip, thankfully we never needed it.

Nice pics there Johann, we did it many times in the early years, the weather was ghastly , which puts a damper on things.
Those steep hills, if you dont have a powerful Jeep , Cruiser or V8 Landy with balloons, you just have to point it and plant it.
Hope every one enjoyed the day....even in that weather
