Yeah, its awesome. I would have preferred to ride much longer and do the 90km look on the other side of the road, but at 45 degrees its was just a bit warm. Moon Rock for some reason for me is kinda spiritual, and this was the first time I'd actually ridden up it, so it was my happy moment.

Bit off topic. I have a silverback sola 2 2016 model. I am looking to upgrade to something which has a one by or two by up front. My sola 2 weighs in at 12.5kg which is not bad i would say. If i had a budget of between 16k and 18k, which 2018 hard tail is the best bang for buck, nice and light weight, 29 rims. I see you can get bargains on second hand bikes but i have never taken that chance, so new is probably the way forward for me.

No I haven't. Also won't be able to get away. Hopefully next year.

just getting into the mountain biking scene, and combining it with off-roading. My mid-life crisis.

got myself a Scott Scale 980 2020 hardtail, getting a suitable rack for the jeep, with an oversized spare wheel was a challenge but sorted it out with an extension block on the tow bar.
