Nissan Navara Low Range problems

Cry for help to all Navara drivers out there!

I recently went on a trip to Mozambique, and wanted to try out my low range. When I turn the switch to engage low range the LO indicator starts blinking but never engages. I've tried a few things which I read on other blogs and forums without any success, I assume the problem is electrical and its got to do with the solenoid switch or something. Any help would be appreciated before I take it in to a dealer.

Sorry to hear about your problem.
When last did you use 4LO?

You must be standing still and in Neutral to engage.
Sometimes you have to dive forwards and backwards a bit to allow the actuators to operate into position if you have not used it in a long time.
Only once everything is switched will the light stop flashing.

Depending on your technical knowhow, I have the Nissan manual for the Transfer System.
If the problem is electrical, this would help a lot.

It could be a faulty connecter, blown fuse or stuck actuator.

As far as I know you should also engage the handbrake, while in neutral.

You must be in neutral to engage the 4LO.Same happened to me ,and then after phoning the dealer to say its faulty they told me to test and put in neutral first.The penny then dropped .I never had the car in neutral.Hope its the same issue for you
