    Default Diesel Fuel Conditioner

I know the subject of diesel additives has been dicussed extensively on the forum. However, I took my Hilux 3.0d for its 110k service yesterday, and in the bag of items used during the service that was returned to me, found 2 bottles of Moto Muti. The one is a engine flush and the other a Diesel Fuel Conditioner. Being a bit curious after all the dicussions I have read regarding additives, I searched for some info on it on the net without success. Does anyone have experience with these products, or where I can find more info on it.

    Thanks

    Doesn't "Muti" mean black magic?

erm... kind of Mike, but colloquially it now refers to any kind of 'sauce' or ingredient that improves things...

quite often a marinade for meat, or a chilli sauce, and I've even seen a salad one!!!

could it be that Toyota now promotes the use of 2s0?

I'm assuming it's a 2s0 or close to it, some kind of fuel oil additive...

I would be more concerned with the engine flush "muti" than with the diesel conditioner , which is likely to be largely 2 stroke.

Perhaps an enquiry at Toyota head office as to their policies.....

My feeling is that both these additives reflect an uncalled for additional profit item for the workshop.

Mitsubishi uses a Mitsu branded product for this purpose, but it's one small bottle.
