    No they are feeding you....

Shows how many "specialist repair centers" do not even know the products they should know off by heart.

There were a very few of the 2.0LWB and some, I say some 2.8D, single cabs that came with the local spicer/gearmax diff.

Definitely not in the 2.8TDi or V6 or 2.4 petrol.

According to the machanic yes. He showed me something that look like little dents in the gears. I would not know better...

To come back to the diffs!

The First Colt's did come out with a gearmax diff. It was in the stage where ZA had a "tiff" and local content was to be used therefore there was gearmax found in Colt and Toyota, Isuzu etc.

After that "tiff" the imported diff's came back so from the first 2.8 TDI shape Colt and onwards had the import diff. Very strong and durable diffs. They are still around in the Triton's as well.

I have not yet seen a gearmax in a Pajero so I think the "tiff" was only valid for bakkies and not SUV's...

The Spicer Diff was only found on the 2.0lwb single cab. But only on a few.

From 1999 they all came out with the proper imported Mitsubishi Diff.
The 2.8Tdi, the 2.4i and V6 never utilized the Gearmax Diff, and definitely not on any of the Pajero's

Swambo has promised to mail it off tomorrow though! I'll send you the tracking number the moment it's sent..

    Good day.
    I am looking for a
    colt 2.8 rear diff.
    I have found a
    2.8tdi 2wd Club cab.
What is the differance ratio on a 2.8tdi 2wd Club cab?
    Some say 4.6 and
    other say it is 4.9.
There is no plate on diff.
Is there another way to find out what it is. Any help would be great.
    Thanx.

    2.8 4x4 diff ratio is 4.9 and the 4x2 is 4.636
