    Default Cold temperatures in Botswana

The cold temperatures continues, and normally around September, we should be in the middle of the high temperature Botswana. This year its very strange.

Very cold indeed for this time in Botswana. We froze our butts off driving from Kasane to Sherwood on Saturday and Saturday night at African Ranches were below freezing.

Maybe the traditional 40 degrees on the 1st of October is not going to happen this year?

It was due to the cold front from Cape town.
We were experiencing hot nights already last week when all of a sudden we had cold winds come down. They should be finished now, and hot weather will start this week!

Taralee don't hold your breath ... another cold front hitting Cape Town tonight and tomorrow. Probably going to head your way too in a few days. W. Cape has been very cold.

Hi all , we will be in Deception Pan in 12 days moving on to Nxai , Maun Moremi etc . What kind of temperatures can we expect seeing as the research I have done is not panning out for this year ?
Do I need to pack cold weather gear ?

Cheers in advance for any advice

We had freezing nights in Khutse in October (2010) and 35 C by lunchtime. Will be packing warm clothes for our trip this October for sure!

We never go to the bush without some warm clothing, no matter what time of the year.

Snow has been reported in parts of the eastern Cape and Freestate. There is an icy breeze this morning in Pretoria as well.
