I am impressed. Not many standard vehicles have ventured across the river. There are quite a few new tracks that have not yet been driven before, yet you guys took the challenge. I would love to see some pics of the river crossings..

The water crossing looks like a lot of fun!

How deep is the water at the deepest level? More or less

The disco went with on road tyres so the Jeeps would'nt be shown up with all their fancy aftermarket add on's , you want to see them go with proper tyres.

The water is about 300 - 500 mm deep at most. The problem is that it has big rocks under the water and you need to take it slow. It is real fun.

Marauder's Jeep is something to see on this terrain. With those spades he calls tyres, he is nearly unstopable. The Discos had to haul a.. to keep up.

With spades on, the D3 will go anywhere the Jeep goes.

This is a new trail that was put up. Lots of new roads and track were put down.
Goldilocks and Marauder's Heep and Renier's Disco was some of the first vehicles over the river crossings onto the island. Here we really battled as the track is laid out for short wheel base vehicles. Goldilocks unfortunately had a light run in with a tree.

Going up the mountain is also very dangerous as you have a lot of loose rocks and soft sand. We chickened out and turned down the mountain. It needs a bit ofrain to compact the newly exposed earth.

BEWARE: Damage to your vehicle is a given.

We will definately do this again. Nice shade at the braai area and a river runs through it.

We can really recommend this playground.
    Ditto!

We were there about 4 weeks ago with Johan Swift and the mountain trip took us the best part of 2 hours to ensure every one got to the top!

The Jeep needed no help of course!

River crossing also a bit tricky when the water level is high, Oom Attie is at least around to show the correct line most of the time.

    A definite must do!
