    Default RAV 4 mystery switch

SAWMBO recieved her second hand RAV4 today, and we are puzzled by this mystery switch. Its not listed in the manual and looks like an aftermarket switch, right next to the seat heating switches. It gives a beep sound when switched to on.

    Any ideas?

Don't touch it. It is the Fortuner roll over switch which has been fitted accidentaly. This could explain the one Fortuner that has not rolled.

I had a laser-jammer in one of my cars and this look similar. Check if there is any sensors near the Rav'S number plates. Also when switch on there will be a short buzz to indicate it is on.

I seen it on a friends Fortuner, used to enable/disable the park sensors.

for those interested, it is indeed the front park sensors enable/disable switch, the rear ones are always active.

Yes, to enable disable front sensors. drives you mad when in trafic and sensors are on. picks up cars in front of you too easy.

BTW rear is only on when Reverse is selected.

I couldn't figure out how to upload the 6pack as an attachment, so I drank them and thought I'd let you know how they tasted: mighty fine
