Default Land Rover 110 Puma PU Conversion

    Hi,

Apologies if there is material on this forum about this topic but not sure where to start.

As the title states I am looking to convert our Landy from a pick-up to a hard top. Where do I start?

We have done a couple of things already, fitted a OME kit and Wolf Rims.

What should I do with the original suspension kit? (Spring, shocks and steering damper) The vehicle has only done 40 000km. What is a good asking price?

Where can I have the rims powder coated? Who does good wheel balancing and alignment for 4x4's?

What is the best course for converting the body work, is there someone who can source the parts and do the modification? Should I separate the two tasks?

Any advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Converting from Pickup to Hardtop is fairly easy, just get the roof, side window panels, rear door. Not sure what one will do with the rear bulkhead of the PU.

Thanks Reynier, that is a great lead.

Who are the people to talk to in Cape Town about this stuff? Also where can I find a guide / manual that details the panels. Really looking for an exploded view of all the body work.

ignore the canvas top on left and the sunroof, but the exploded view on right is actually from a series landy SWB but yours would look very similar. you pickup top is the roof and rear window in one piece. remove it and bolt on the long side windows that rap around to back. after both sides are on then you can bolt on the top and then the rear door.
