anyone used myus.com for shipping, is it worthit?

Hi all, have anyone used www.myus.com for buying stuff in America and shipping to SA? Just wondering if it will be worthit to opt for free shipping to the US address and then let them ship it to me, or should I rather just let Amazon ship internationally. Obviously this would be worthit if you buy from shops only shipping to the US, but most places like Amazon or Ebay offer international shipping.
I've looked at the shipping costs on myus.com and it's quite expensive because they only use door to door couriers, they don't give a option of shipping to the post office.

I've used it in cases where places don't ship internationally, especially the personal shopper option, including large pieces of "twin-friendly" furniture.

Quite a few companies have worked this out though and don't ship to myus.com addresses themselves anymore.

If you're buying from somewhere like Amazon and they offer the international shipping option, it's better to use them direct.

I've used them. They use the fastest option availble unless you instruct them not two, and do it twice.

I ordered John Deere stickers for my laaitie's room. R157 for the stickers, R1750 for the shipping. I had it two days after I ordered it. Lesson learnt!

I used them before. Service was good. Shipping not too expensive. SARS nailed me when the stuff got to OR Tambo though. Not sure if SARS checks every single parcel or whether actual shipping (rather than dhl flying) would have changed the tax being charged or not. But overall, myUS was a good experience for me.

myUS will most of the time ship in with DHL, so they will send you an invoice for duties befor they deliver. I have used them several times in the past for ordering from Amazon.com stores who does not deliver to SA with great success.

myUS works for me very well but I'm a premium member because their shipping services are significantly cheaper then.
package is in my hands within 2-4 days depending on SARS.
Make sure you instruct them how to issue the shipping invoice because SARS Customs is full of it lately.

short answer: much better to collect parcels from various sources in US and ship them together. for a single order you may find them too expensive. I collect all orders for 30 days and then I ship together... saving about 50-60% on shipping costs.

I bought a fuel pump yesterday that has to go to the US before getting to me that's why am using MyUS. Seems there is some delay due to the Covid10 issue. Have also used MyUS a couple of years ago and the service was excellent.
