this past weekend at Ganzekraal - Western Cape.
ablutions old and not the best by long shot, but clean and working. We booked the 6 sites at bottom closest to ocean..

Teardrop caravan. 1240kg sits lower than the FJ Cruiser. Kitchen at the back, bedroom front. 2.1m long queen size bed. 140 litres water over the axle, solar, 200ah battery.

Made of ply covered with chromadek.

Ah I know Bucklands Farm Used to know the owners 30 yrs ago Have they got formal Sites there or did you just get permission to camp there ?

Hey, thanks. I copied the Aussie Bruder EXP 4 and it came out very nicely. Only real differences were that my wheels are outboard. Also they have independent air suspension.

But yes, custom built.
Design brief was simple, the hardest part of the setup must be to take your shoes off. Achieved!

It really was very quiet. The sites along the lagoon were all taken but we had the choice of any site we wanted. Storms river was also empty, even got a site with a sea view

Those front lagoon sites really catch the wind - I prefer to be further back.

I wonder whether lockdown has affected Storms River?

Tried a new spot last weekend 500km down south in Western Australia.
Situated in the Karri Forrest.




There is a lake close by and the caravan park built a small restaurant over the waters edge.
This part of WA really reminds us of the Wildernis area around Knysna.

Ubbo, that looks fantastic! Have you documented your build? Maybe do a separate thread on that? I think it will be interesting to many.

Did our minimalistic men only camping setup this weekend at De Breede Smal, close to Rawsonville. Great place within 45 minutes from Brackenfell.
About 10 minutes of setup, including the gazebo.

Good day people

Attached our camping setup at the Vaalriver close to Villiers for 14 days. Raasblaar Boswa sleeps 2 with an Oztent RV4 for the additional two sleepers (Kids and the four legged kids) with custom side wall panels fitting under BunduAwn. Oztent replacing one of the Standard BunduAwn side wall panels.

We are now looking for an extra Oztent RV5 tent. Anybody that knows of somebody interested to sell their Oztent RV5? We are also looking for the gutter for the RV tents to be used between the two Oztent awnings. The Wanted section under Classifieds doesn't bring up anything in the drop down so I cannot place a Wanted add under classifieds..
