From stop to waiting for water to make coffee about 15 to 20 min. That includes bedding, huge table with basin and dry-rack, gas stove, lighting, chairs. Tent pitching, including offloading, awning and all the peggs, less than 10 minutes. (Included above.)(3x3m with vertical walls and 3x2,1m awning. Reflective flysheet not included in times.)
This is my rainy season set-up.
The canopy doors give rain cover and lighting between vehicle and awning.
Kithen, pantry fridge and freezer stays in vehicle and is accesable directly from the awning side.

Quick and easy set-up for elderly couple. No ladders or roofrack stuff.
Works very well in practice. Optimised over many years.
We see it as glamping with more space than we need.

@Candyman0113, I love your rig, from your packing system to your complete camp setup.

    1. What suspension mods have you done to your Fortuner?

    2. Based on your best estimate, fully loaded how much weight were you carrying on that trip?

    Thanks

This will be the last time I camp with a big group. 16 of us. 5 tents. 2 sites. No ways!

My little Chevy Ute struggled with the heavy load but got there a little out of breath.

    KYLEU BUSH CAMP. 21 DEC 2019 to 28 DEC 2019. 4x People

Set up: 2x Tentco 3mx3mx2.2m dome tents with centre extension. 2x Gazebos plus camp master side tent.
66L Snowmaster Dual, Dometic CF50, NL Battery box(105ah battery), with extra BH plugs for parallel connection, solar controller(for emergencies),and either fridge.
Home built battery box(105ah battery), with a CTEK 250S, with the same connections, and V/A meters.
    2x 100w solar panels.
Borrowed a trailer as we had an extra 4 family members for Christmas Lunch and staying for the night and needed the Weber, for gammon and lamb roasts, still assembled.

Thank you to the owners Devon and Sherri for being so accommodating and the staff of KYLEU, fantastic service and the ice was a bonus especially, when you ask the the extended family to bring cooler boxes, drinks, etc and ice and they come with a small cooler box and everything in a plastic bag warm. LOL. It was a hot week.

Thanks to Fluffy for his "t..its up Plan" the CTEK failed on Solar charging, must be something i did as once the panels were connected, the lights on the CTEK kept on disconnecting from Solar to battery, and both the alternator and Solar V/A meters read the the same? Yet on Vehicles, only the alternator V/A meter showed readings? So I connected his much hated 30amp ECCO controller to the the NL box and Home build box(parallel). I never saw less than 12.4 on both meters by morning.

Thanks again to this forum for creating an opportunity for Swambo and baby Swambo and family, to trust me me for a week of "No Luxuries", to think we started with small 2 man tent, cooler box, and a small box with basic supplies.

Oh and the 3rd picture was baby Swambo's idea, as she said she cannot go without it for a week. Best one i ever had
