    Hello Paul,

Yes, if by "all the usual facilities" you mean level, grassy sites and ablutions. The latter are not "5 star" but perfectly functional with plenty hot water heated via gas geyser.

No mains power, braai or water stand pipe available at site.
They did run me out a power lead from the bar/restaurant though - I had a few days of heavy overcast/fog when my pv panels could not keep up.

Generally I prefer backpackers for my full time-on-the-road lifestyle.
They are more laid back with not so many picky rules that you tend to find at flashy caravan parks - although due to the market caravan parks attract (everything from young families with plenty kids to old retired couples) I do think somes rules are necessary!

Generally backpacker rates stay flat throughout the year - no "make hay while the sun shines" i.e. peak season excuse to rip off the customers.

Backpackers usually always have excellent wifi included.
They also make a plan with rates for us longstayers, eg. every 5th or 7th night free.

Wayne - Many thanks for the info - Would be most grateful
if you come across good sites for longer stays to post on the forum.
I am sure everyone would find it most useful.

I do agree with your comments about Caravan Parks!

Thanks Mike - as you can see...I'm a "parker" not a camper
We could not set up and / or breakdown camp living like this 365 days a year.

One off the top of my head - Mdumbi Backpackers at Mdumbi Point, about 18km as the crow flys up the coast from Coffee Bay.
But they only have one level site large enough for my truck. Spent a wonderful 44 days there over winter!
