    Setup times.....
One night stay over: just about a 440ml Windhoek Draught germaanse bruisdrankie
Two or more night stay over: two tumblers of good Cape red jolly juice

    What about break-up times
    Almost more important me thinks....
One night stay over: one cuppa strong filter coffee
Two or more night stay over: een polisie koffie

I agree with not too much fieterjasies, more of a nuisance. Keep it simple but comfortable

Qoda, the first photo in my post was at Spitzkuppe, Namibia if I am not mistaken campsite 4. The second one at Erongo Plateau Camp, third Halalai Etosha and last one Erindi Elephant Camp.

Looks awesome, next year we're going up to Namibia, so I'll plan around that too. Thanks.

Oztent RV-5 and Safari Gazebo (if staying in the same place for a couple of days). 10 mins for setup. Have drawers in the car so fridge and food doesn't get unpacked.

As for breaking up, usually an hour as I am invariably sulking and don't want to leave

LOL, very true, here's me when still single (and travelling in style). After marriage things changed to trailers and caravans hehe (although SWAMBO did enjoy the roughing it also)

Being single on trips always makes you the point of pranks. On one such trip at Drotsky's in Botswana the guys decided to surprise me by "modifying" my rooftent to be a ground tent. Couple of us when for sundowners at the lodge and upon return found my tent nicely parked next to the landy with shoes placed nicely in front of the door. The next night the main instigator did sleep without a mattress however

A pro of being single was you got invited to eat with all the other people in the group so often didn't have to make supper

I think I am starting to understand why SWAMBO doesnt want to camp as often anymore...
Maybe I should also start taking my whole house with.

But I like to camp minimalistic, not having to spend hours pitching heavy canvas tents, tables, gazebos, basins, showers, ground sheets, etc etc.

    That is not the problem.

It is the unpacking and packing of all the other stuff that takes time... and that also depend on how many of my womenfolk I take along.

    Default Camping

I dont like rooftop tents and for an overnight its just the dome tent that goes up. For a few days then the awning goes up too. From a Conqueror Supra. keeps everything cool from the sun and dry from the rain. Tent Trailer and good for relaxing.
