    Default New Car warranty's

I cant help but notice how ridiculous some of the manufacturers are getting!!

i mean seriously ! Why do you buy a all roader ? Obviously to maybe sometime in your life do some sand/mud/bush .

Its so sad to see that when you start fitting aftermarket accesories they void your warranty.

also even worse is , when you have 2 identical parts and the one does not say nissan or toyota or whatever (ie Snorkel) and you have it fitted privately - they void your warranty , but if they fit it , its okay .

Wheel wise , i asked ,if i could fit bigger more dirt orientated tires - yoki super diggers came to mind - He said no ..

i told him , its not like its 26inch chrome spinners ... how can you guys be so silly about this .

this brings me to suspention ..

how far do they expect you to go with err 30cm of ground clearance.
Would the a lift kit also bring you into the black book?

In a case like this -

do you just bite the bullet and say i dont care ?

or do you swop all your oem stuff back before the service ?

Ja I don't know, maybe the Cape is setting a new precident on voiding warranties, My Navara has so many mods it's too much to mention nevertheless I have already had a few warranty claims without a problem one of which was for a full replacement set of 17" rims on which I do have bigger tyres! So far so good. On the other hand I don't really care much about warranties. I want to use my navara for what I bought it for if that means the warranty is void then so be it. The general rule I imagine would be that if the mod was the reason for the failure then it won't be covered which I think is fair.

I've done all kinds of things to my Colt, both mods and damage, and I've been sorted out without a blink of an eye. I reckon you've just got a bum deal. I believe jeep are also not so great in the mods/warranty department.
