Default Ml 320 CDI. SOOOOO NICE!!

Just got my 2008 Ml 320 CDI. What a nice vehicle to drive. Was looking for one long ago, but could not find one with low mileage and reasonable price. Mine has 136000 km which is not too high in my opinion.
Really a far cry from previous double cabs. Im still using the Transporter for work. Leaving this weekend for Eastern Cape. Going to enjoy the drive. Will keep you posted.

    Thanx for replies!
From Durban to Johannesburg I got 10l/100km doing 130 to 140 km/h where it was possible. Should get 9l/100km if I stick to 120km/h?

Can I use 500 ppm diesel on this car? Does it have a DPF filter? What is the max towing weight?
Ml looks a bit higher than normal. I measured from floor to under rear wheelarch above top of rear tyre: 88 cm. Front was about 68cm.

Congrats, I agree it is an amazing vehicle.

The wife and I did a 5000KM road trip in my 500 last September and it just never ceases to be a nice place to be.

Incidently if (it's a big IF) I behave and keep to between 100KM/H and 120KM/H I can get the consumption down to 10.9L/100KM. Normally I don't behave but still get an easy 12.5L/ 100KM on an extended trip.

That is the same Merc motor as in my Jeep, it has a dpf and therefor 500ppm is not recommended.

Bought my 350 CDi ML in Nov last year. Very nice car to drive. Getting 11.7 l/100km with mixed town/freeway driving. Slightly on the thirsty side that I had hoped. On the freeway, at 130 km/h she won't drop much below 9.5 l/100km, but will come down to 8.5 if I bring the speed down to around 100km.

I scored with this vehicle, as it has the offroad package (low range, lockable centre and rear diffs, protection plating) plus the air suspension. For what I paid I think I got a lot of car that is reasonably capable off road. Fitted some Wrangler AT/SA's as well.

I've got the cornering fog lights. Anyone ever fitted LED daytime running lights from Carllson or any other source as I am keen to fit these?

My folks have had one now for 7 years, and I drove it from Cape Town to Bloem about 2 years ago...

7.9l/100km at a steady 122km/h on the GPS! (I was alone in the car with a small amount of luggage and a light tailwind)

The car has 170 000km on now and hasn't skipped a beat

Where do you service the ML's once out of motorplan? Is there good indie's around?

    Default Ml 320 cdi

Just returned from 3000km trip and I must say it was a pleasure. The ride quality is definitely on a different level.
Did mostly towing to and fro. Towed 2,5 tons back to Jhb and consumption was 15 to 16l/100km. When I drove empty and constant 120km/h I got 8l/100km.
I must admit my ex Vw 2.0 132kw biturbo never exceeded 12l/100km with heavy towing. Didnt have the power of the Merc though.
    Cant upload pics from Ipad?
