no worries. I can take more tomorrow for you but here is one from the front.

The front bumper and rock sliders were done by Rock4x4 and wel priced as well and the rear was done by Burnco which was not so well priced.

The steering guard was from Stone Accessories.

I carried on my quest to convert my disco 4 into an HSE. Installed the logic 7 amp. What a difference to sound quality. Hse speakers were fitted a while ago and had already made a difference to sound quality. The extra surround speakers and dash speaker make even more. Quick change to the CCF and logic 7 is working

Did a bit of a sound upgrade to bring my lowly S model up to 2020. Needed Bluetooth as we use Apple Music.

The radio swap was fairly straight forward. Then came the interesting part to get the clock on the dash working again. The old radio needed to go on a diet to fit under the seat. Then from there is was a simple link the 2 canbus wires and get power to it. Also fitted the steering buttons from an HSE.

Next up fitting the reverse camera.

Thats a major change.......... just for bluetooth?
I am sure you have some great sound now, but can I ask why you didn't just fit a Bluetooth receiver and connect it to the aux jack?
I have seen many of those type conversions online, and have been itching to do the same.

I looked into those. I would need to manage the music from the phone though, so that ruled them out of the equation. Like I did it now there is no need to take your hands of the steering wheel.

It also helps that this head unit can link 3 phones simultaneously so no need to pair again if we switch cars. Also as this is primarily driven by my wife i also wanted to add a reverse camera.

The much better sound quality is a big added bonus yes.

Upgraded to Xenon's. Next up will be to wire in the AFS. Will take some time though as I need to make up a new loom for it.

Completed the rebuild of engine on my Disco TD5 last week. Fitted and running good.
Was not really required, but after blowing the head gasket a couple of weeks ago decision was made to rebuild from bottom up so it should be good for another 300K Km's.

You get it from Builders at +- R200. It makes a rubber coating that you should be able to peel off.
I would do a small test spray before doing big areas. The grill I used had badly peeling paint so couldn't make it worse.

Sorry can't seem to get my pic's smaller.

Head refurbish: Valve guides, re-seat valves, acid clean, pressure test, light skim. R5500.00
Block: New pistons, Rings, Main and big-end bearings, Engineering work: R29000.00
Timing Chain guides, Oil pump Chain kit, new oil cooler, Head gasket, Head Bolts, Rocker shaft Bolts and various gasket sets (Top/Bottom): R7500.00
    New Oil pump: R6000.00

To do a decent rebuild you probably going to spend around R 50k.

There are sub-assemblies available for around R25k excl. Which is another option to look at. Only pain would be the re-registering of a new engine number.

Labour to remove, strip and re-assemble I did myself.
