Default Looking for a tough 4x4 route near JHB

    Hi Guys

Please suggest for me a nice tough (sandy/muddy/technical) 4x4 route near JHB. We have done a few of the Trails around JHB and although they have obstacle courses I am looking for a Drive that will challenge both driver and vehicle.

    Cheers.

From what I heard Hennops Pride is quite a challenging trail but mainly because of ground clearance required to manage some of the rocks.
I was last weekend again at Basslake (south of alberton) and it is the Gauteng trail with the most variety I know of. Just hard to find any mud during winter, it's too dry.

Get Alex, the owner of Moegatle to take you around his trail.
    Take toilet paper.

Your best bets will be: Moegatle, Berakha, and perhaps Hennops Pride.
There may be other trails but they're a bit farther away

I haven't done Moegatle or Berahka, but from what I gathered from the forum is that both are a lot more technical than AlloutAfrica.

If you decide to go to BassLake please let me know if I can join? If I don't have any plans I'd like to check it out.
