To all still interested in the original topic, thanks for the feedback.

I would've thought vehicles to be sealed off in the areas mentioned, such as the bell housing and such seeing they are all under the vehicle, as it seems strange to have a 4x4 that can be left stranded because of depressing the clutch mid way through a water crossing.
