    Default Camping the Kruger

We're planning on camping in the Kruger during the June holidays. We only have 3-4 days in the Kruger. What suggestions on where to camp so that we can stay in one place and do daytrips from there please?

Step 1. Book for camping in the KNP!!!

Without booking well in advance you are not going anyware!

In winter Satara, Maroela and even Letaba are good!

Yes, I agree. Tsendze is about 5Km from Mopani rest camp. It is in the bush with nice size stands.

They have open air camp kitchens with gas stoves and wash up facilities.

We had an elephant come to visit along the fence one evening. He was in musth and the smell was interesting mingled with that of braaied meat.

Balule is also a lovely camp on the banks on the Olifants River - you can hear the hippos at night!
