    Default Broken Defender light switch?

My landy's headlights stopped working last night, it works when I pull back to flash the brights, but not when in the normal position.
I checked all the fuses and are all fine.
I think it is the short light switch behind the indicator lever that's faulty? Anyone ever had this issue?
Would appreciate any other ideas about this.

Common issue. Replace the switch. Dover will most probably be the cheapest

    Had the same problem.
It's the switch, easy enough to replace

Could also be the bulb-the low beam element might have frizzled, easier to check than replacing a switch?

Replace the switch, AND put in a relay. Common fault from a bad design as all the current passes through the switch and burns it out.

Boesmanland before you replace the switch you can easily repair it as well or if you do replace repair the old one and keep as spare for times when you need it. Also add relays to your lights as this will lessen the load on the switch.
