Default ORCA'S sighted in False Bay

Last week some Killer whales ORCAS were seen in False bay .
About nine were spotted including two males and a young calf.
According to Dave Hurwitz they were spotted hunting dolphins. They took out one and lost interest and headed off to seal Island..
They then went of in the Rooi Els direction.

We who live here are privileged to see this, we hear the sound of whales in the night and on weekends we actually are about two hundred meters from them on the walk ways.

They seem to move off when the navy has their gunnery practices.
I think the sound of guns is more prolific under water and does have an impact on the whales

Can you use your 1000mm long lense on your Nikon D3x to take the perfect shot.

I agree the orca might be better off but like two heavy weights both will bleed. You folks are so privileged to see these magnificent creatures

Wow, I regret not being able to see this. Lucky buggers. Maybe I should take a Saturday to sit and watch the ocean.

My money is on the Orca.

Can someone try and get a few pics or are they too far out to sea?

Nice photos. Both the killer whale and great white are extremely impressive creatures.

I was worried that Neil might confuse this thread with the ORCSA thread
