    Default Kalagadi, Mabua, Khutse

    Hi guys

Have visited Bots a few times but done more central and northern area.
Next year we are looking at going to Kalagadi on SA side and were just going to spend time there are drive back way we came. However, can't be so close to Bots and not visit it.
So....looking at Kalagadi, Mabua and Khutse.
Will probaby only have two weeks to do trip.
    Is it worth visiting khutse?
Where would you spend most of your time?
    Can we tow trailers?

    Have looked at folowing itinery.
Let me know what you think:

Jhb to Twee Rivieren - overnight in chalet at Twee Rivieren
Twee Rivieren to Nossob - camp 4 nights at Nossob
Nossob to Lesholoago - camp nights at Lesholoago
Leshololago - Khutse - camp nights at Khutse
    Khutse to home

Travel distances seem ok. May break up Jhb to Twee Rivieren.

Have gathered from Forum that Lesholoago site is best.
Where would you recommend in Khutse. Would stay in one place for the nights.

Don't know about towing. Which direction are you coming from?
For Khutse I would recommend Marushele number 3, we stayed there in december. Nice big tree for shade and opportunity to go south and north if you want to stay at one place.
For Mabua I would recommend Mpayathutlwa, see pictures I posted.
But distance between Mabua/Khutse is big. We spent a night at Kang.
Like TR, Nossob all of them, make your pick.
I'm busy with a trip report about the 3 regions you mentioned.
Will post it somewhere the next 2 weeks.

Bushlover, I would personally rather camp at Rooiputs and Polentswa than T.R. and Nossob. Away from the crowds and fenced camps. It would certainly be more in sync with your desire to explore Mabua or Khutse.

Jip. the best place. Also Kidding is nice at Mabuasehube. But, rather spent the 2 weeks in Kgalagadi and enyou - Khutse on a other day.

We are just about to go the other way round:

    Mabua Pan 3 nights
4x4 trail to Nossob, overnighting at Mosomane
Polentswa 4x4 trail overnighting Polentswa, Sesatswe & Lang Rambuka (and maybe a quick run up to Unions End)
    A bath/shower + overnight at Nossop!
    Mata Mata
    Twee Rivieren
Then home via Witsand (maybe two nights)

We have never done this route before, but it seems that the advantages of going this way round from Jhb area are:
    1. You do your border crossing early in the day - no time pressure.
    2. You can buy your meat and other last minute stuff at Jwaneng
    3. You can fuel up at Jwaneng at Bots prices
    4. The route via Jwaneng and Sekoma and then down to the cutline means that if you are running late you can bush camp on the cutline
    5. You can do the Mabua - Nossob one way 4x4 trail

I guess you could add Khutse in at the beginning of this.

I can hardly sleep I am so excited.
