Default front, back diff, gearbox and transfer box oils

    Greetings,
I want to change the front, back diff, gearbox and transfer box oils of my Disco 3, 2008 with 109 000km. It appears that the back diff oil is only available from the agents @ +R500/liter. Is this correct? The other oils seem to be available locally.
    Regards

Very good idea to change the oils, Rear diff oil is different to the front so may explain why it's only available from agents, i paid 30/l in the Uk 2years ago so sound about right, contact Peter Street at Landiworx for local knowledge on price or alternatives,

    Hi Gert
Quite correct the transfer box and the rear diff oil is only available from the agents. So far I have managed to source diff oil just arrived from Liqui Moly which equal to the agents oil and still battling with the transferbox oil. Front diff I use synthetic 75w95 from Liqui Moly and toptec 1200 full synthetic atf from Liqui Moly for the gear box flush.

What abou Castrol Syntrax 75w90? It is a fully sythetic diff oil recommended by BMW for both limited slip and conventional diffs. LR specify Castrol SAF XO for front and non-locking rear diff and Castrol SAF carbon mod plus for locking rear diff.
