We started the day by arriving at the gate of hennops pride. Nice meet and greet. Fitting propshaft (mine) and letting the air out of the tyres. So off to the training course. Here Sakkie demonstrate how to pull away on a hill without rolling back. The guys with the manual gearbox had a bit of trouble while the automatics breeze through. Next one through the small gates and against the slope. Now that was fun seeing the big jeeps struggel to go through. While the narrower ones also struggle seeing that Oom Sakkie like to challenge and prepare us. Then it was over the hill though the axel twister and a sharp right. That went better but then Oom Sakkie said now turn around and try it. Some off us did it 5 times just to get it right. So finaly we went to the trail strait to van zyls pass. Here Sakkie showed us how to brake a rear propshaft and why tools are a necessity (he had none). Got the isuzu out the way and the shorty pajero whent up half way. Had to be recoverd. Then I tried. But with out any luck also don't want to brake anything. The sarge went up with Disco 3 after some road building. The the TJ followed and went through. The yellow rubi had to take the more difficult rout because that is what it was build for. Al to easy! The TJ came down and followed the rubi's trails. What a fun filled day. Thanks to sakkie to share all his knowledge and expertise

Sakkie thanks for giving your time to show us what competition 4x4 is all about really learned a lot in the short time I was there.

Sorry I had to bail so early, but my youngest Angus (3) decided to go down a firemans pole off a jungle gym, missed the pole and landed on his back from around 2 meters high, lights out with signs of a light seizure for round 30 sec.

I'm with at Garden city clinic now, he and I are spending the night for observation, but from how he was running around in the hospital gardens this afternoon I'm sure he's fine, although rather safe than sorry.

Franz again apologies for leaving my co driver next to the track, although hope you enjoyed the day out and hope yu learn some tricks you're gonna have share with me.

    Cheers
    Dylan

Yip, I learned how to pack many rocks.

No stress Dylan. I would have done the same thing. Just glad all seems to be ok with Angus.
