    Hi Coastal Neighbors,

I'll be visiting my folks on the weekend of the 21st June in Mossel Bay, any locals doing any trails that weekend that I can possibly join on the Saturday morning (22nd)?

The FWDC has an event the weekend just before that, but I am sure we can make a plan for a quick play, perhaps Moordkuyl its nice and central.

I didn't take a lot of photos but here are a few:

The 3.5v6 Triton was made for sand:

Suzuki surprised everyone again, making the long dune twice:

As well as other places where some newer vehicles struggled:

We missed the best camera man in the Southern Cape (Cobus) so you must excuse the poor pics.

We had to do the trail guided, which meant we had a lot of people we didn't know do the trail with us.

It was interesting to see stubbornness and panicking complicating the day.

What happened to stop assess and then continue? Not just drive hysterically until something brakes?

    Default Vleesbaai Dunes

It was a nice outing, just a pity of the large group. I was last in the group and spent lots of time ... waiting. But then everything was nicely churned up for the Suzuki
Just breezed thru the soft sand.

I can also say that my Maxxis tyres can handle 0.2bar in the sand. No problems whatsoever. Must add that Suzuki only weighs 800kg and torque not so high as other vehicles. Maybe that is why they stay on.

Jean is sold on the V6 Triton. It just breezes thru the course. And Jean omitted the most important news...he did the long dune in ... 4 x 2. Way to go softroadertjie!!
He couldn't repeat the feat since 1965Landy churned up the track with his Amarok going backwards up the dune. Left some holes...

The following link is of Suzuki doing the dune.

    Default Dankie

Sounds good Prof. Looking forward to it. Was there a new Ford Ranger in that huge group on Saturday?

Enige ander voorstelle?

Groter Bande sal help met bietjie grondhoogte.
