a return story is DEFINITELY required. There is also interest to make it a documentary for TV here and in the US! It seems that the undisclosed (for now!) nature of the trail makes it even more special and a big attraction to explorer and extreme offroad types.
    Gonna be epic!

We're already full (for this one), and I seriously doubt whether anybody is going to pull out. This is just too big a challenge, and the guys already on the list aren't chicken.

We are going to the beach if it's the last thing we do.

Have to agree with Sakkie , nobody is going to back out of this one! I have a question ; what date are we planning this around? is the weekend of 14-17 June the one? rite bang in the middle of winter? fortunately where we are going its not to bad , only need something warm for the nites! and if we have consensus for that weekend and we make it to the beach, then we can drive out via rock rash ravine

Default Carnage Canyon - The Fith Crusade (Soos ons dit noem)

    Hallo julle

Julle was saam met “The Fourth Crusade”.

Lyk my daar is ‘n redelike paar goed wat weer agterweë gelaat gaan word. Hy het dit as volg opgesom:

    “Vehicle prep: TAKE NOTE!

    - Lockers front & rear preferable, otherwise you will have to be winched/towed over certain sections.
    - Good clearance
    - Bash plates, Sliders, Diff guards - No rock magnets! Tupperware beware!
    - Lower gearing a great help
    - Winch will help, although others will be on hand to help
    - Own recovery gear
    - Travel as light as possible
    - Low tire pressures 0.8 to as low as 0.1 bar
    - Bring your spares & spanners!
    - Ensure your truck is mechanically sound

    What to expect:

    - Rocks, water, rocks, sand, rocks, repeat.
    - Technical driving all the way
    - Awesome scenery!
    - Rock rash on diffs, sliders, undercarriage, bumpers etc. If careful, body damage can be avoided, or minimized...
    - New and old friendships cemented for life”

    • Banddruk moet so laag as moontlik wees.
    • Bagasie moet die minimum wees sodat jy so lig moontlik reis. Hoe minder hoe beter.
    • Herwinningstoerusting is uiters belangrik. Moet niks by die huis los nie. Jy benodig minimum:
o Ordentlike winch met laaaaaaang kabel
    o Ten minste 4 shackles
    o 5, 10 en 15m pull straps
    o Snatch rope
    o 2 pare handskoene
    o Snatch block x 2
    o High lift jack
    o Jack buddy
o Sterk hegtingpunte aan die voertuig
    o Tree protector, ens, ens.

    Theo
