Default Best price National Luna 50L Weekender where?

I want to purchase a National Luna 50l Weekender but the price quoted by all the country wide outlets are the same.
Does someone know of a stockist in Gauteng that are cheaper than the quoted price of R7900.00?

National Luna do NOT allow their prices to be discounted. Sometimes you will find a few discrepancies or "specials" where they throw in a free cover or free baskets etc but generally speaking their prices are almost identical anywhere you go.

Try the Beeld Show or go directly to National Luna in Edenvale ( I see you stay in Germiston) they are not that far from you.

    Hi

I ran this thread about a month ago, at that point Bushpower were the cheapest, although almost no one has stock at the moment, not even NL, 5 week back log or something...

You negotiate. Their price was also R7900 but I also took the Safari Centre NL50 fridge slide and original NL50 cover.

There is legislation that supposedly prevents this type of practice.

If I'm not mistaken both Toyota and Volkswagen were fined many millions of R's for doing this.

    bushpower.co.za were the cheapest R7752.00.
The total saving on the fridge and it's cover amounts to R400.00

They call this price fixing and presumably they know there is much serious collusion taking place than camp freezers.

bought our Luna 90 litre at the Beeld show from Safari centre. The show price was basically their normal price including a cover which is round R800 and delivery to your house and this made the show price cheaper than all other places. Through my research to get the best price I found that the smaller or indapendent guys have better prices on the NL fridges, all the big guys like Safari, Outdoor, LA sports etc will almost have the exact same prices.

I have found the same price-fixing with Engel fridge/freezers.

Sometimes there is a way around it. Buy from the smaller outlets and get to know them. Ask for (insist on) discount. Offer to pay up front/cash if needed.

I have had a dealer give me 10% off on an Engel product, but I would rather not say whodunnit, for it may cause embarrassment.
