Hi everyone, I'm new here but would love some advice.
My husband and I are keen to travel to Lake Malawi over the Dec period, unfoetunately this is the longest break we have in a year so Dec it is!
I have found some great camping accommodation links thanks to all of you.
What I need to find out is if camping with a regular size off road trailer will be possible or should we stick to the oz tent? I am worried about actual camping space....but I love my trailer...

Are you worried about the square footage you'll be camping in? If so I wouldn't worry - I doubt you will have issues regarding the size of camping sites. In any event your footprint with a trailer surely won't be much different to an Oztent?

However, other considerations may be:

- the kind of roads you'll be traveling on (especially access roads to campsites)
- how often you will break camp and how easy each will be to set up
- how comfortable each option will be in the rain (expect plenty of rain in Malawi in December)
- you occasionally get places where only tents are allowed in a particular area - usually a nice garden where there's no vehicular access (ie no roof tents/trailers) but these are few and far between.
