Apparently there is a huge backlog for visas, swambo is booked to fly on Sunday, she will only know about her visa on Friday.
She books through a travel agent who also sorts her visa.
PM me if you would like the agents details.

Good morning Gents,
I need to fly to Kaduna (Nigeria) early Feb.
Getting conflicting info on my visa application...
My travel agent says new rules came in Jan this year.
I need to fly to JHB and apply in person, a visa service company on CPT says they can do it for R2000.00 and another in JHB says they can do it for R500.00 if I send my passport to them.
Anybody know the proper route ?
Not posting my passport to anybody, would consider a recognized visa service company.

My travel agent forward this notice to me early December last year
" Dear ROSE Citizens,
Please take note of the following regarding the submission of Nigeria visas.
The consulate requires all passengers in Gauteng to appear in person at the consulate in Johannesburg, however if your passengers do NOT reside in Gauteng, ROSE can assist with the visa, but the procedure has changed slightly.
Passengers are required to complete their visa application form online and make payment for the visa with their own credit card. The visa form is then printed and signed and together with the payment receipt, handed in with all the documents. ROSE can then submit and collect visa applications for those passengers who reside outside of Gauteng by means of a special courier.
We have uploaded very detailed guidelines for passengers to our website, so please feel free to visit our website at www.visaservice.co.za"
thanks for the help and info will contact them and find out more.
EDIT: Just spoke to visaservice.co.za the rules changed last week and you need to personally fly to JHB to submit.
they can help with the collection and returning of the passport though.

Hi all,
How easy it can be: I applied last Friday here in Bissau, and left the embassy an hour later with a postdated (my request) 3 months visa. Took one form to fill in, two photos and about 75 dollars. Very easy and friendly process.
Oh, well. Different countries, different rules
Happy travels,
Gee
