My version is 3.3.1. Updating it on my Mac just gives me pages of unreadable symbols and a message about dos?
Can I still potter along with this version?

I see the new release of basecamp has a fix for when basecamp would not sync with devices.

I would give it a try. Your issue might be resolved.

Thanks Derick....I've just downloaded the new version of Basecamp and upgraded all my 2460 firmware, so I'll give it a go...

Once the 2460 is powered up after transferring the "new adventure" across to the unit it takes a while (accompanied by the spinning hourglass) but after a couple of minutes all the tracks loaded are shown in the Trip Planner. It could be that the 2460 is trying to plot the routes on its internal copy of the T4A map, but I'm just happy that it works.....thanks...

You can merge/join several tracks/routes to form one.

a) Select the tracks you want to join together by holding down the CTRL (control) key and clicking on them,

b) Once selected, right click on them to bring up the menu,

c) Select 'Advanced' and then 'Join selected tracks'

This will merge/join all the selected tracks into one large track.[/QUOTE]

It took me a while to work this one out

These track are in the side bar in the unlisted data column Highlight both as Derick mentions by holding CTL and continue as above The magenta track does not highlight Now all hell brakes loose The tracks may even return you to the starting point Double click the new track and the route table will open Delete the wrong parts ot the track and drag and drop the waypoints that were placed wrong by this stupid software into the correct place Now check again if you have the correct route and name it as you wish
When you build a track the software tends to stop building somewhere along the way Do not despair Start a new track where the previous stopped , build again till it stops Join the as described above , until you get (eventually) to your destination
I know It is bloody frustrating My neighbor above aske me why I was vloeking so loudly
