    Question Triton Rattle

    Hi guys,

I recently bought a 2009 2.5d 4x4 Triton. I have a rattle comming from the left rear that gets more anoying by the day. Any suggestions as to where to begin to sort this out?

Loose body parts close to the rear wheel. Check loose wheel nuts first causing wobble, shock, shackles, wheel arch clips, pipes, etc..

Just finished that exercise myself. Left rear spring, 3rd blade broken and the loose end rattling along. Aftermarket rims have nice plastic hubcaps which also make one heck of a noise when they are loose.

    Thank you,
I found the problem yesterday while washing the Triton. I was/is the left body trim in front of the load bin. One of the bottom clips holding the trim against the bin is missing. That caused the plastic trim to rattle against the cab behind the left rear door.

You are lucky to get the "cheap" problems. My leave spring pack cost me R1500 from an accident Triton. Agent ask R4500 for one pack - not a set.
