Default No hazard lights when towing a trailer

    Hi.

When I tow a trailer the HAZARD lights do not work. The L/R flicker lights have no problrm, only the HAZARDS'.

I suspect this is due to the bumper replacements (each with their own set of flicker lights) increasing the load on the relay, and a trailer in tow just puts it over the limit.

Is it possible to change the flicker relay with one that can draw more current?

I had the exact same problem with my Hilux / ARB when towing the Commander. I fitted a connecting block within easy reach on the wire running to each indicator bulb on the ARB and disconnected them when towing. Quick and easy but still a schlep... Fortunately the Miskruier has LED lights and I no longer have that problem. Why not replace the just the indicator bulbs on the trailer with LED bulbs?

When in doubt, paint it black
