Plenty of times I have left a message for him to call me and he phones me back at 7-8pm as he only gets round to the admin that time. Even sometimes on a Saterday afternoon.

I saw this post & thought that APS will suite me perfectly seeing that they are on my side of the world.
Well, I cant say the same as above mentioned. I have phoned 2 times last week leaving a message for Anton with the receptionist, unfortunately there is more than just a service that needs to be done on my jeep so its not just a case of booking the jeep in for a service with reception.

I phoned this morning again, hopefully i'll be helped this time around, otherwise i'll have to start looking for someone else again.

As I mentioned, Anton is extremely busy. He does not always call back - your best bet is to drive out to the shop (Coenru st, Stikland) and talk to him face to face.

Unfortunately his service levels is even worse now that it has been in the past. So much so that I don't really recommend people go there anymore

Still the best guy if you do have a issue can pop round to book in the car and can handle having a car with him for a week or three or more.

I have used APS extensively for my Jeep GC V8 and got excellent service. It took a long time time, however. He is overbooked

Seems there's a gap in the Jeep service/maintenence market down there.

There are a few very good indies around, but many have allowed their popularity go to their heads and are very arrogant. Anton, although overworked, remains a very helpful guy

In my opinion HB Willys is not a place I would recommend. The sheriff will be visiting him in the coming week due to the court upholding my claim

BTW, I'm changing my rating of UA&P. I won't use them again purely because of the hassle of getting any information out of them. If it's a run-of-the-mill oil change you should be OK, but anything out of the ordinary that requires someone there actually contacting you... forget about it. I wasted too many hours of my time, about 20 phone calls and countless emails. I eventually resorting to just sending them a mail every day when I couldn't face hearing the same surprised "oh, that's strange, I'll have it for you by 4pm today" excuse any more. Only got a result by finally losing my rag on the phone... about 5 weeks later.

My problem with APS is that Stikland is a helluva long way from Muizenberg! Oh well, I have about 19000 km before I have to find another service agent or sell the jeep

    1+

Anton from APS is really good and helpful - He gives me the same kind of comfort I got from Bulli when I still lived in Pretoria.

Will pop you a private message, dont want to put a phone number on a fairly open forum.
Just one thing to note, Anton is great but you might need a bit of patience re communication etc. As he is sometimes very busy and its difficult to chat to him directly but its well worth it but give him a call!

This is true if your expectation is to speak to him on the phone. You're almost never going to call the reception phone and find he is available. Best is to drop him a WhatsApp and he will reply or call you back. It might be in 5 minutes, it might be in 4 hours, but that is the nature of dealing with him.

I have personally used most of the guys recommended and probably wont go back to any of them. Including Jeep in somerset.

I have recently started using Goch and Cooper and wish I had found them years ago. Amazing service, you get constant updates and they put my Jeep on the dyno after work is done to make sure all is as it should be. Just brilliant.

    Hi there

I have a 2008 Jeep commander that I want to sell. It has 214000km and in good condition.

The only two things that doesn't work on the jeep is the left mirror not folding in and the sunroof has been sealed close by the previous owner

It's full house, 8 seater leather interior and has a DVD player

    It's diesel and automatic

If anyone is interested please call me on 0662652119
