    Default JEEP Mechanic

Where can I take my JEEP in the Western Cape (Cape Town) for maintenance? I cannot handle the stealers anymore.

It's now the 3rd time I've booked my JEEP in, only to be told that they don't have time to do what the need to do.

Frans Ackerman, Diesel Tech, Montague Gardens. He fixed my diff and I'm taking my bakkie there also. Mark uses him for his vehicles too.

Otherwise try The Car Shop in Paarden Eiland, recommended by Powerflow. They are Jeep specialists. 021 511 7061.

I'll fb Diesel Tech's number to you now now

I trust only Anton at APS in Stikland for Jeep specific issues that I cannot do myself.

I've never used them but they're friends with my local Powerflow guy.

Only heard good things from them.

Raymond I drove all the way to Somerset West Jeep branch and had the JK serviced there while still under warranty for very similar reasons at CC you take the Jeep is its always some excuse.

    Speak to Ken Branch manager.

The Carshop is seldomly mentioned on this forum, so it's difficult to recommend them. APS would get my vote.

    Mark Hutton-Brown.
I'm yet to have bad experience with him (he is always full of jobs so he is always late).

So basically the only known reliable ones are APS in Stikland, Jeep Somerset West and Diesel Tech in Montague Gardens. Thats good coverage.

Take a trip to the Garden Route and go to Ron (Ronald) from Homans' Automotive in George (Jeep & Crysler experts) 044 878 1098. He is an American and Master mechanic. Really knows his stuff about Jeeps.
I recently did a general service (R1120) and transfer case service (R780) by him and he fixed my spotlights (all in less than 2 hours). He does a complete check over on the vehicle, not just ticking of a list like the stealers.
Next up I'm servicing both diffs (which the stealers coveniently forgot to do at the allocated scheduled service!) and he is making me some custom recovery points for the front and back + fixing my bullbar.
He also quoted me the best price on supplying and installing an EFS suspension system. So basicly he does almost anything and he stays open over December to cater for all the inland guys that come to him.

The only reason I mentioned Jeep Somerset West is that Raymonds wagon is still under maintenance plan.

Currently taking all my cars for servicing to Kenny.

if you are still under warranty then take it to Jeep Somerset west.

I've only had good service off them...

otherwise, if you are out my way, ALF centre around the corner - Chico - does a good job...

Aldrin yes, but he is too over worked and the quality is going backward. And attitude at the reception is that they do not need your money they have enough clients going around.
I wanted to drop some money on some upgrades but could not get an answer out of them so I left

They cannot handle mods rather go to Mark for mods

But if you can get a minute with Aldrin he is a well informed guy.

This is what I appreciate about Anton at APS - no matter HOW busy he is (and trust me that little shop is busy) he will always make time to listen to your problem and even go for a quick test drive to check it out for himself. GREAT guy !
