Secondhand is fine, a little maintenance and youre good to go

.

My only recommendation would be to go for a Warn winch (reliability) and then the 8000LBs and up will be sufficient, once you start to struggle you just unspool more, and use a snatch block and double the power of the winch in any case

P.S. I highly recommend synthetic line as well, still looking for one for my winch though, missed Engels special it seems

Anyone interested in doing a trail this weekend - if so where

. I need to test my lift and confirm there is ZERO scraping

(I know there won't be - but need to check anyway

)

What is happening about Lesotho

.

The year ended on a positive note with lots of plans for 2013, but there seems to be a huge silence at the moment

or am I just over keen

The Hummer is going for its service on friday, so cant commit to anything untill I have a clean bill of health after the service

Lesotho IS happening, think GREG is just trying to get us some decent lodging prices........ come Greg tell us what you have

Jip, as I remember we said January is a Loooooong month so outings will resume from feb

well as for the lesotho trip ill have the final costing by thursday, it will be based on chalets and not backpacker accomodation. it appears most of the backpacker acc is fully booked, but i have wonderful places to stay.

I would also love to see how your lift kit works out, im sure its going to be amazing on a trail.

Jip, but all turned out well. The truck performed like nothing else. Broken leave spring and all. No problems towing, and performed on the beach. I didn't even engage 4x4 and it went everywhere. We did about 40 km on the beach every day...... Real nice experience.
