Default Is this Breed's Nek Pass?

Can someone please tell me if the route shown below is the Breed's Nek / Maanhaarrand pass? I can't seem to find any working directions, this is what I managed to scrape together from the net.

Has anyone done this recently? I have got reasonable clearance and low range, but I saw a picture of a donga the size of a Fortuner, so I am wondering if it is still passable.

The Google maps directions I created

Yes, that is Breedt's Nek. I have not done it for a few years but it used to be passable in my Bantam Bakkie. I heard about a year ago that the donga had got quite bad and was almost no longer passable. Not sure if out has been fixed since.

Yes it is and you don't "need" low range but it does make going through the dongas easier, for me in anyway, no driving on the clutch.

The last time we went through there a Tucsan got stuck pulling a trailer.

    kds,
Yes, that is correct. I did it during Dec 2011 from North to south and there was only one place where I had to get out and inspect and eventually went through without damage. However is seems that it should have been easier from south as the Tiguan does not have low gear. Some bikes and one platkar did south to north but the evidence that some people had some damage is indicated by oil markings on the rocky parts. I will post some pic's....must find them first!

Please do not think you are gonna go there for a challenge.

It is a bad dirt road but that is about it!

It is very beautiful though....take some picnic stuff with and have a drink and some grub on the top while you look at the view.

Aha so you know the area well then.

On top of the mountain there are signs that say "private property" but that area belongs to the Magaliesburg "city counsel" is it not?

I did it in 2008, in a 1993 BMW E36 316i. Was going to Utopia for the weekend and went that direction, then on the Sat night had to go back to Magaliesburg area for a party so did the pass again and again on the way back at midnight. Wasn't too bad.
