Just want to again thank you guys down in Cape Town for a wonderful two days at Atlantis. Jean, David, Neil, Frans, Thys, Ian, Edwonne etc. etc. etc. You guys made that outing the highlight of our holiday.

Frans, I haven't forgotten about that pic. I'll email it to you as soon as I get a chance. Got some 250 emails to work through

It was only a pleasure Sakkie. I think you'd make a good Cappie if ever you decide to move here! :-)

Sakkie, thankyou, seeing the joy in your eyes as you crested the dunes, like a child having a great time.
why not, this is what Atlantis does to some of us.
If you go there tomorrow, it will be different from today.
In winter it becomes another paradise to play in.
    Keep well my friend.

Shouldn't all of us keep some child inside ??

Neil, as promised, here's a pic of my track log for the two days spent in your play pen. 76km of pure fun and enjoyment!!! One part is missing. You'll see the two straight lines. GPS must have been off there.

That's great. Would it be possible to overlay it on a Google earth picture or similar? That would be an interesting exercise.

Okay Neil, got it. Here are two screen prints. North and South so you can see more detail. There are a myriad of tracks on the western side of Land Rover Hill and Dogleg that we never even got too. I'LL HAVE TO COME BACK!!

Next time I'll drop the image into the GPS so you can find these tracks easier.

To an outsider, it looks like that we didnt know whether we were coming or going

I wonder if Sakkie still has some sand in his truck from AD.
from what i saw inside the cab, there was more sand in there than AD itself

I had enough sand in the truck to come build myself a house on this side!! Must have increased by fuel consumption by at least 2l/100km coming back

Favourite spot........wall of death (Big Dune?) was lekker, so was that fast hole we played in on Saturday, also those very sharp bends, almost like a three leaf clover....also there right on the northern side T4A calls it "the Pit"?.....Damn man there are just too many. You guys are SO bloody lucky!!!

Before I forget. The pics above which shows the track and image. The two are offset (to each other) by roughly 10m. The image should move about 10m east to match the actual track.
