    Default Bakkie Loadbin Cover

    Hi All

I am looking for a hard cover for my double cab Amarok. Does any one know where I can find a cover like the one in the picture attached? They are very common on Navara's, and wondered if it would fit an Amarok. Costs?

    Thanks.

I have a European electronic accessories brochure for the Amarok. Can't remember where I downloaded it from. It has what you are looking for.

    Part number: 2H7 071 774

It costs 1058,24 Euros in Europe!!

I too would love one of those covers on my Hilux, they have pros and cons
    Pros
    Security
    Looks

    Cons
Impractical try load something that might stick a little out
    Limited access.

Went once on hunting trip and guy had a Navara with it on, we had to pack things so tightly and had to load on other open bakkies.
I had a client who had on his Ford, after a few months it just landed up sitting in his workshop and didn't bother with it

Sorry for being negative but its a lot of money to spend & you might hate it.

Have you considered securi-lid? They are very reasonable and come to you for fitment. It is also one of the few lids that fits the Rok's tapered load bay and if you don't need it you roll it away (admitted you loose about 200mm) I've still managed to load a quad on the back of the Rok, had to leave the tailgate open though!

Yes, based on my experience I have to agree with the above...

Its the negative that will help me make a positive decision.

The cover is not cheap, and if it is going to be an inconvenience in any way, then I am not getting it. Maybe I should keep the canvas tonneau cover on for a few months, and see how often I have to remove it to load stuff, and how often things will touch on it when loaded. Because I think whatever will touch it enough to flex it, will not fit with a hard top on...

I fitted a securi-lid when I bought my double-cab Amarok as part of the extras. Brilliant solution http://www.securi-lid.co.za if you don't want to fit a canopy. Locks really secure. Looks good as well. BUT, it rattles me crazy at the moment. It is the plate that goes over the roller section closest to the cab. If I force something in between that plate and my roll-bar, the rattle goes away. Like all customers, I really want this sorted now that securi-lid has closed their doors for the holidays... If anybody has a good suggestion on how to fix this, I'll be very very thankful indeed.

Retro - similar in shape to the old Y series, and a similar canopy was made for the champ bakkie.

Open the four grommets on top of the lid and tighten the allen heads underneath.

I can highly recommend this soft/hard cover from Tonneau King. Works great and easy to install DIY. I have it on my Amarok.
