Default Kamanasie Nature Reserve and Eco trail

We went to this reserve this last weekend. Very beautiful. We started at Stompdriftdam, drove over the mountain and camped at Eagle Falls. http:/www.eaglefalls.co.za/.

Looks lekker. I've been meaning to explore around there.

I did my "vasbyt" training in that area. It entailed a route march carrying all sorts of heavy stuff over several days throught the mountains. Part of it was to haul our stuff up a section of the Kamanasie dam wall then absail down with it. One guy fell on his glory. The final stretch was to jog back from the dam to Oudtshoorn.

Yea, it is quite lekker. Not very challenging though.

There is a sandpit at Eagle Falls with a couple of nice obstacles in. Those are the last couple of photos.

Must definitely make a turn there. Memories fade over time.
