Don't bother buying the new CAR Magazine if you are expecting to read a review / test drive of the KB6. Nice pic on the front but no new info at all.

How could it be cheaper? That's as basic as it gets?
It is here, saw it on Friday. Tommy Martin's Roodepoort. It is AMAZING.
Manny, Fleet owners should easily get up to 9% discount on all lwb and extended cab models.
Just push them hard enough.

Manny, I walked the steed5 route, got the 2.8tci, all bells and whistles, has done 75 000km, the problem is not the engine, drive train, electronics or interior, but the bodywork. Soft as and rust is a real big issue. I have a serious fight on my hands at the moment with rust, and will seriously not walk the gwm route again.
I can still take it when it takes 70 000km to replace a noisy diff, or 30 000km to replace a noisy EGR valve, but when they tell me that they cannot honor a rust warranty because I did not tell them to do a body check on the day the vehicle was for a service, just does not do it for me.
The new KB will be my fifth Isuzu, my first was a KB250LE 2004 model, speedo broke on 348 000km, drove it for another three years, second a 250 Fleetside with aircon, sold it on 87000km (that thing was slower than a municipal worker after lunch), then a 250base, very fuel efficient work horse, sold it at 165000km, then the real gem a 300d-teq extended cab, I still get goose bumps thinking of it, sold it on 107 000km, still with original brakes, but clutch went, so wasn't lus vir sukkel.
Unfortunately GWM will not see my business again, Ford has ruined there chances a long time ago, and I am really not a toyota person. My dad owns a Navara kingcab and the light interior just dont do it for me, and the ride quality isn't very good either, that leaves me with Isuzu and Amarok, the Isuzu will win because of the extended can version.
My 2cents
Cheers

I like Isuzu. What worries me somewhat was that in the aussy UTE of the year competition, the Isuzu was placed last. But it had the best fuel consumption between all the vehicles [amarok, ford, holden[trailblazer engine] and v8 dt/dc kroozer.] The judges did not like it. I like the shape. Just think the 3l is getting a bit old now. Apparently getting the 2.8 duramax engine later.

So Isuzu, the worlds largest Diesel engine manufacturer, a company that makes diesel engines & not much else...
This company, is going to fit Italian made motors in their bakkies.
If so, then for what do we need Isuzu...?
That's like Steers fitting McDonalds patties to their burgers...
LOL Manny... I admit you are right.... This will never happen... I was under impression the 2.8 was Isuzu motor... But its Italian... It makes sense.... Expect something different...
GWM... I have first hand experience with one that a farmer here bought 3 years ago.... His words was, julle Isuzu en Toyota manne sal nog opsy staan, ons praat weer... I can tell you horror stories of that steed... It has around 70 000km on the clock... I honestly think its on its 10th gearbox and GWM do not want to help him anymore... 4th clutch and now injectors... Stay away!!! I never had the guts to ask him "what did you tell me a few years ago" cause the guy is struggling financially.... He has teach his wife to pull away in 3rd gear as it get stuck in 3rd and 4th all the time... This is also why clutches don;t last... Really sad actually....
I will honestly rather buy a Toy or Isuzu with 200 000km on the clock with FSH before I buy these chinese junk... They have a few years to play catch up... My opinion off cause...
oops, haha, sorrie porra, thought the 2.8 was a isooz engine!! Yoiu are right, the best engines you can get
