The kids will have a reduced price. The pricing will all be finalized by the end of the week and I will put it up here.

We are running the trip again over the weekend of 16 December and so far we have 2 spots reserved with 3 open.

Hi Guys, when I started this thread I was still busy laying out the route. Now after doing more physical driving I just want to update some of the information.

We had some rain the last week and though very slippery in some places I did not need to use the winch.

This 'first half' of the trail is actually closer to 160km. About 85km the first day and 75km the second day. Our aim is to do this 'first part' a few times over the next few months and then launch the 'second half' somewhere around March or April. Then people will have the option of doing part 1 or part 2 or the whole trail

I refer to the last nights' accomodation as a cave as that is the best description I can think of but its not technically correct. It's actually in between big boulders with a big rock as a roof and open on the one side overlooking the gorge. (Think Flinstones)

    Talking Rates finalised

Okay, so the rates has been finalized!
And as it turns out I was a little bit optimistic with my first guess of R2100 per couple. There were some things I did not considder and as it turns out the rate sheet that I was using to get accommodation prices were totaly outdated. There were some major price increases that I was not made aware of. And part of the agreement of letting us drive in the nature reserves is that we have to make use of their accomodation, so I have to go with it. (Luckily they said that since I had already organised the Nov. trip at the old rates, they will charge us accordingly)

Anyway I still think it is more than worth it and I hope everyone else will agree. There will be the option for catered an self catering tours.
    The rates are as follows:

    Self catering
    Single : R1930
    Double (sharing) : R2310
    Extra Child : R1080
    Extra 2 Children (sharing) : R1710

These prices will be in effect from the December trip (14-17 Dec).

    Hi Brandon,
-We will be doing the same section in December (the 1st part).
-Yes we get together Friday 14th
-I have just posted the finalized rates as from December.

PS. We were fixing the road today in one section and I just got very excited at the thought of sharing some of these incredible places with likeminded people!

    Default Some Pics

Here are some more pics we took while cutting the trail. Notice how overgrown some parts were. The last nights' cave-like accomodation is circled on the last picture.
