People who does not know what a "messed up mind" is like always tell you to think positive and you will be OK. No ways one can do that. Like trying to run a program on a PC that does not want to boot. You need an external boot and repair program to fix the problem. Therefore professional help, which will include chemical products to address the CORRECT problems.

And then the power of talking, spilling your feelings, is often very much underestimated. And that is not talking to a known person. One do not open up completely as you assume the person is on the level with your "issues". A professional is a total stranger, with no connections to your family/friends circle, so one is inclined to open up more as the need to "hide" the severity of the problem due to the ever present "stigma" of having a problem is not present.

Thank, Jean. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

Hey Nic! In George there is an expert on REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy), and he's flipping good.....just what your wife needs. His name is Hennie Pienaar. At the moment he is sometimes at Stellenbosch Uni doing his doctorate, but he practises in George. You need to both email him and try and get hold of him by cell as sometimes both signals are not great. 0823803299 and [email protected]

Don't worry...it will definately come right with therapy
