Thanks for all the input guys, sorry for not responding sooner.

    Tyres:
Ended up going for the Goodyear Adventurer in 245/75R15. Did a trip in early Jan and they towed nicely. Closer match to the Defender with 235ís.

    Tyre pressure:
I think I ran at 2.2 and it worked nicely especially with a bit of weight in the unit.

    Shocks:
For those that ever need they are Gabriel G45001 apparently the only ones with that stroke.

On a side note we tried some new chairs, the Frontrunner one that folds up and those are an absolute winner. They pack extremely small and comfortable too. We used to take the Oz Trail king jobbies but they are a mission to pack and bulky.

    Good Morning Imagine Owners

Have any of you plumbed the geyser/shower to an outside connection for showering and or washing dishes? Details would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

I have not but we saw this one when we were in Sesgwfield and it looks like a nice solution.

    Door/Aperture Locks

I find that the door closure latches work themselves loose due to vibration when travelling, and I habitually tighten them every time we stop for any reason. I am a bit worried that I forget and kitchen stuff falls out. There is also no key lock on the side flaps of the van. This could be good or bad. But I am somewhat concerned that anyone with a square bar and a pair of pliers can open the side flaps at will.

I asked Hansie at the factory and he sent me some neat pictures of using the 'garage door' style locks that are fitted to the front bed over the square hole locks. I am keen, but my wife think it will be very ugly.

Has anyone come up with better solutions? I have reviewed the Thule products but they are very expensive.

We have had the kitchen opening once before in the Baviaanskloof, lost some hot chocolate and a few plastic cups.

it happened after we had some upgrades done on the unit which included new plates for the locks to secure against.

i filed them down a bit to allow the mechanism to close completely and we have not had an issue since. Maybe give that a try before getting too complicated.

I had lockable handles fitted to all opening panels and door, by Comfortvan in Pretoria. See pics. Work well. Only issue is number of keys!

Thanks Cecil. I think Hansie sent me the pictures of your van! I wonder whether one can buy these locks with a master key?

I am doing a bit of research and am quite keen to look at a high quality brass barrel lock-the type they put in good furniture. They defintely have master key sets.

    I will keep this updated.

Default Imagine comfortvan wanted - anyone selling please let me know!

I've looked at them all and narrowed it down to the Echo Kavango and Imagine Comfortvan. I prefer the Comfortvan because of the integrated bathroom setup, more space for packing clothes and kitchen stuff and the light weight of the van.

So I've decided I want one but I can't afford a new one. If anyone is planning on selling or upgrading please let me know! I will need the 2+2 setup because we have two toddlers.

Quick question. What is the PCD of the standard Trailvan rims? Anyone know?

I find this picture interesting. Wonder how he piped the hot and cold water and if it comes from the same tank. I am looking into running a pipe from the front tank to the back but cannot see a logical route where I can take it through.

Also note on this photo the right hand side lifting leg. This may be steadier than the standard

Iím not sure if our unit is standard however I think it is. I used 15Ē Toyota Hilux rims and they fit perfectly.

My van came new (2017) with those steadies instead of the ones that are fixed underneath. I would think ground clearance improvement is the reason, but they should be more steady due to the increased spread.

    Hi there Forum members.

My father-in-law passed away a few months back. Now my MIL sits with a Imagine Comfortvan 2 sleeper, 2018 model.
Anyone knows where will be the best place to sell it for her? I did phone Imagine and they gave me pricing for around 210k. Think she will be happy with this.
    Appreciate the help.

There is a group on Facebook for Imagine owners, you can try posting there. Pity it is a 2 sleeper. 4 sleeper would sell in a flash.

Thanx Kortgat for the advise. Will check it out on FB. Got no idea what to sell it for for my MIL. Does 210K sounds more or less right?

Also phone a few dealers and see what they would give you as a trade in then add something on top of that.
