    Hello Fellow Divers,

    Hi Wayne,

KZN Wildlife will not sell you MPA dive permits.

Get them at any post office anywhere in the country.
Sadly not all PO staff know about them, just tell them it is on the same form as the fishing license - even though some forms do not have a box 'scuba diving' to tick... Just make sure they put 'scuba diving' on the receipt.

About the road to Rocktail Bay: it's best to ask the guis from the lodge, they should know!

Best regards, and enjoy your diving!

    Hi WayneMan,

Best to get one from the Post Office cause it will be valid of a year but you will probably be able to buy a Temporary Permit (valid for 30 days) from the operator at the Lodge - most charter operators sell them but I suggest you check first to be sure.

The year permit is more value for money, also take your ID with you. Suggest laminating (just make sure the slip paper/ink is not heat sensitive) or put into zip lock bag with the rest of your kit, add a copy of your id as well. Have not had many checks but they do tend to happen at the most inconvenient time.
